The Business Development Manager will be based in Oregon, US.

Principal Accountabilities:

Responsible for providing leadership in the planning, design and implementation of customers’ specific business plans and will provide vision, penetration strategies and tactics to executive managers in order to develop and drive external and internal senior level relationships. Responsible for analyzing and understanding customers’ business strategies, future product plans, expansion activities and align Multek resources where mutually beneficial and will cultivate and capture new business. The objective of a Multek Business Development Manager is to lead the efforts to grow Multek’s net income through engaging target customers and getting Multek “designed in” to target applications.

    General Purpose:

    • Work closely with the Multek team to manage each account for maximum operating profit and revenue growth and develop and communicate metrics for same to all levels of internal and external management.
    • Maintain and grow business relationships, close deals and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Align sales efforts with segment lead’s strategy
    • Own the relationship with the customer
    • Facilitate yearly negotiations
    • Update commercial QBR report with volumes, qualifications, and key programs.
    • Facilitate new customer requirements: Materials, Logistics, SupplyOn, Consignment Stock, Commercial Agreements
    • Travel: develop yearly travel plan and budget with segment lead.
    • Factory Audits: support preparation, audit, and follow-up items until completion
    • Facilitate customer meetings. Timing, locations, attendees.
    • New Customers
    • Use segment strategy and marketing reports to identify target accounts with Segment Leader
    • Develop (Tactics & Timing) to pursue target and keep details in the pipeline
    • Work plan to get on target customer AVL
    • Report monthly on progress to plan and escalate to management any roadblocks
    • Initiate customer profile and update quarterly. This identifies key players, technical & commercial, and manufacturing locations. Applications, TAM, Competition
    • Existing Customers
    • Identify current and target saturation level & timing for exiting customers
    • Update customer profile quarterly. This identifies key players, technical & commercial, and manufacturing locations. Applications, TAM, Competition
    • Understand the needs of the customers and technical, pricing, HR, capability gaps at Multek. Work with management to justify resources to close gap and monitor implementation of improvements.
    • New Program Involvement
    • Identify strategic target programs
    • Coordinate FAE & ITC involvement in product development efforts
    • Work with Segment Coordinate global resource management (GAM)
    • Quote
    • Understand target pricing for each program
    • Develop understanding of quote matrix for cost optimization opportunities (PU, material, sheet size, yield)
    • Escalate is price is an issue to win key program
    • Legacy Programs
    • Collect and Organize existing program data (Revenue, MP/OP, Forecast)
    • Negotiate yearly with customer
    • Understand stock levels and work with factory on EOL

    Tasks:

    • Update Pipeline weekly
    • Update forecast weekly
    • Support preparations for FOL and 3 Year Plans
    • Initiate and update key customer program plan. This would include timing of steps: DVT, PVT, EVT, Mass production. This would also have the unit price, MP/OP, and forecast
